Robert Leaks was driving his Dodge pickup when he lost control and crashed into a tree, causing him to suffer fatal injuries. Leaks did have his seat belt on during the collision, but his wife believes that Chrysler did not properly construct a safe vehicle. The family of Leak claims that the 2006 Dodge Laramie was not “reasonably fit for unintended, but clearly foreseeable, accidents.”
Leaks claims that her husband’s death was a result of the automobile defects in the Dodge Laramie. She claims that the automobile did not properly provide survival space and did not provide side airbags, side head curtains or any side impact SRS. Had attention been paid to these vehicle defects, Mrs. Leaks believes her husband would still be alive.
Leaks is seeking damages for medical expenses, burial expenses, emotional pain, loss of care, and physical pain.
