Kenosha Woman Injured in Madison Crash

A woman from Kenosha was seriously injured Saturday in a Madison car accident.

 

According to a press release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, the accident occurred shortly before 8:00 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 39 in Dane County. Police say Toni Gasparino, of Kenosha, and a passenger were traveling south on I-39/90/94 at a high rate of speed. Gasparino attempted to change lanes, lost control of her Jeep, and collided with a vehicle driven by Alex Taft of Arlington, Wi. The Jeep overturned and came to rest in a northbound lane.

 

Gasparino was taken by helicopter to University of Wisconsin Hospital with life threatening injuries. Her passenger, Patricia Kennamer, of Beloit, was also taken to UW Hospital. Her injuries were characterized as non-life-threatening. 

 

Taft was uninjured in the crash.
