DWI Felonies Increasing in Erie County

by Administrator 7. April 2008 06:04
The number of DWI felonies is increasing in Erie County, New York. Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark says the increase in felonies is due more to more people with a prior conviction drinking and driving rather than an increase in the total number of people drinking and driving. In addition, individuals from the DA's office and local law enforcement are following through on DWI cases more often. They are performing home checks and making sure people pay their fines in an effort to curb the behavior. Erie County officials are expecting an all-time high of DWI accidents by the end of 2008. If you have been injured in an accident involving a drunk driver, contact the Madison injury car accident lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier at 1-800-822-1690 to discuss your case and to determine your legal options.
