Young Teen Dies at Football Practice

by Administrator 24. February 2009 05:43

Max Gilpin was a 15-year-old student at a public high school in Kentucky.  He was a football player for the school, and died of a heat-related illness 3 days after collasping during practice.

What happened to Gilpin was referred to as a "freak accident' by some of his fellow teammates.  However, an investigation is being conducted revolving around the head coaches and the principal of the school.

According to witnesses, some of the players were not given water when they asked for it, even when the weather shot up to the high 90s.

A couple of the players collapsed when they were not given water, and one of the players was Gilpin.

If you have lost a loved one from what you believe to be a wrongful death, it is important to contact your Madison personal injury attorney of Habush, Habush & Rottier, SC at 800-242-2874 to discuss you case.
