The various causes of rollover accidents

by Administrator 9. November 2009 07:11

Many people each year experience rollover accidents. These accidents are sometimes caused by a driver turning a corner too sharply or hitting another car at high speeds.

However, these accidents can also be attributed to a tire defect. When this occurs, the tire manufacturer may be liable for tire damages and personal injuries.

The rollover may also be caused if the tires are mounted or installed poorly. If you or anyone you know has been involved in a rollover accident, contact the Madison car accident attorneys of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

The danger of car seat defects

by Administrator 15. October 2009 05:48

The seats in many cars are not designed to protect babies and small children. For that reason, many parents get car seats for their children. While most car seats reduce the risk of injury in car accidents, they can sometimes fail to work properly and lead to serious injury to children.

When car seats fail to work properly, the car seat manufacturer or related company could be liable for damages. Determining whether an injury was due to a defective car seat, however, requires expertise, investigation, and extensive evaluation.

Two Fatal Car Accidents Still Under Investigation

by Administrator 14. November 2008 04:11

In Lancaster, police are still investigating a devastating crash that killed four people dead in October.  Although there are drivers involved, none have as yet been charged with any crimes, negligence, or held under police custody.

It was a two car collision in which one car side-swiped another, forcing off the road and into a tree.  The passengers were all old in this crash, and could not survive the injuries they received.

In the other accident, one car collided into a motorcycle on Route 70.  The motorcycle riders were both killed, hit by the car, and skidded down the highway.

Car accidents are dangerous, and often end in injuries, injuries that will carry heavy medical expenses.

Honda Recalls 34,200 Fit Models

by Administrator 18. February 2008 07:02
Honda announced recently that they will recall 34,200 Fit models due to faulty wiring of a system designed to keep an airbag from deploying if a child is in the front passenger seat. The problem exists in 22 states where salt is used on wet or icy roads. The salt is brought into the car by the driver or other passenger's shoes. It then seeps through the carpeting and causes problems with the wiring for the air bag sensor that allows the air bag not to deploy if there is a child present.  The model years covered by the recall are 2007 and 2008. Honda will replace the potentially faulty wiring with a new system that is shown not to have the same problems from snow and salt. If you or someone you know has been injured by a faulty air bag in a car, contact the Madison personal injury lawyers of Habush Habush and Rottier, S.C. at 1-800-822-1690 to discuss your case and to schedule an initial consultation.
