Automobile requirements for child safety

by Administrator 26. January 2010 05:00

Automobiles sold in the United States undergo a series of safety tests. These tests are designed to ensure that consumers are protected against a number of foreseeable dangers.

One of these dangers relates to the risk of child injury. While many automobile features are designed with adults in mind, many features like seat belts and chair height are not appropriate for small children.

For this reason, parents are advised to use child safety seats and seat belt adjustments. These specially designed features have been tested to show that they can reduce the chances of serious injury in automobile accidents.

If your child has been injured due to an automobile defect, contact the Madison child car safety lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.

Steps to take when your car overheats

by Administrator 30. November 2009 07:32

Cars sometimes will overheat for a variety of reasons. For instance, cars often overheat in hot conditions because the car is unable to cool itself. Also, if the car's water coolant is not replenished, it stands a higher chance of overheating.

When a car begins to overheat, drivers and passengers should take a number of steps. First, the driver should pull over the vehicle and stop it on the side of the road. Second, the driver and passengers should exit the vehicle. While the risk of explosion is low, it is a possibility that drivers and passengers should be wary of.

Third, once the car stops overheating, it should be inspected for any defects and then prepared by an expert and experienced mechanic. By taking these steps, drivers and passengers can significantly reduce the risk of injury.

If you or anyone you know has been injured in a overheated car accident, contact the Madison car accident attorneys of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C., at 800-242-2874.
