4 car crash in Wisconsin results in 4 hospitalizations

A vehicle collision involving four people in Rutland, Wisconsin Saturday, June 5, 2010 resulted in the injury of four people. The crash happened on Wisconsin Highway 138, also known as State Truck Highway 138.  The accident occured when a Chevrolet Camaro, which was waiting to turn left into a driveway on the eastbound side of the road, was rear-ended by a Kia Rio.  The Camaro was subsuquently pushed into a Ford Taurus.  Debris from the accident blew off and hit a Toyota Yaris that was positioned in a driveway waiting to pull out into the street.

Emergency medical service crews responded to the scene to transport any injured victims to nearby hospitals. The driver of the Camaro and his passenger were reportedly both not wearing seatbelts.  The driver sustained minor injuries, while the Camaro passenger's injuries were reported to be more serious.  They were both taken to UW hospital.  The driver and passenger in the Kia Rio were both taken to UW hospital for moderate injuries.  Neither of the passengers in the Ford Yaris sustained any injuries and were not taken to a hospital.
