Girl injured after Kewaskum ski accident

On January 12, a female member of a middle school ski club in Kewaskum was airlifted to a hospital after being injured in a ski accident, a press release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office stated.

Reports said personnel from the Washington County Sheriff’s office received a report of an accident at the Sunburst Ski Area at 6:21 that evening. Upon arriving at the scene, officials found the girl injured. The victim was only identified as a 13-year-old girl. She was treated by responding ambulance crews at the accident site and later airlifted to a children’s hospital to receive treatment for her injuries. She is in stable condition and expected to recover.
