Reports said the hit-and-run accident occurred before 3:00 a.m. on January 10 at the West Beltline frontage road. The victim, only identified as a 54-year-old man, was walking when he was struck by a vehicle, Madison Police stated. A taxi driver reportedly called police after seeing the accident.
