Millions of pounds of contaminated beef were distributed to 35 states from Rancho Feeding Corp earlier this year.
USDA spokesperson Adam Tarr, said that the list of businesses that have received the contaminated meat will expand as they continue to investigate. The USDA classified the recall of 8.7 million pounds of beef products as a “Class I recall” due to the dangers the meat can cause to consumers. So far, incidents of illnesses have not been reported.
