A 7-year-old boy from Kenosha sustained serious injuries after a pit bull attacked him while he was playing.

According to the report from nbc15.com, the attack happened on Friday, November 22 when the boy, who was at his cousin’s home, disturbed a pit bull by making noise. The boy, whose name was withheld, was rushed to the Children’s Hospital in Wauwatosa after sustaining serious injuries from the attack. The boy’s mother, who helped ward off the dog, was also treated for wounds.

Police cited the pit bull owner after the dog was found to be unlicensed and not having its proper vaccines.
