Rolling Stone contributor Michael Hastings killed in LA accident

Posted under Automotive Accidents

Rolling Stone contributor Michael Hastings died in a car crash on June 18, as reported by his editor-in-chief at BuzzFeed, Ben Smith.

Smith released a statement saying that the 33-year-old journalist, who was known for his controversial article that brought on the resignation of U.S. commander in chief in Afghanistan, Stanley McChrystal, three years ago, had been killed but did not provide any supplementary details about the death.

Police authorities did state that they had received an accident report on June 17 in which a man was killed in a fiery accident after his car slammed into a tree at the corner of Melrose and Highland Avenues. The victim of that accident, however, was not immediately identifiable.

Hastings also had written for GQ magazine and Newsweek.

The thoughts and condolences of our lawyers at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. are with the family and friends of Hastings.
