2 injured in car accident west of Fond du Lac

Two persons were reportedly injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 23 the afternoon of May 19.

According to responding officers, the accident happened near West Lane, west of Fond du Lac when a westbound pickup driven by 23-year-old Jeffrey Keys was rear-ended by another pickup driven by 57-year-old Timothy Fashun. Keys’ vehicle went into a ditch and overturned due to the impact of the crash. Keys and a passenger identified as Michael Henke were transported to a hospital due to non-life threatening injuries. Fashun did not sustain injuries from the crash.

Authorities said the crash is still under investigation.
