More Midland Train Accident Victims Join Lawsuit

Posted under train accident attorney

Additional victims of the train accident in Midland last November, which killed 4 United States veterans and injured 17 more people, have joined a lawsuit against the Union Pacific Railroad.

Aaron and Laura Kibby, Thomas and Keli Pleyo, Shane and Meg Ladner, Travis and Elsie Reichert, and U.S. Army Sgt. Joshua Michael’s family have all joined in the already-existing lawsuit against the railroad company.

The injuries reported among the new joiners of the lawsuit involve leg injuries, amputations, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and other emotional and physical injuries. Sgt. Michael’s family seeks compensation for its loss.

The plaintiffs claim that the Union Pacific Railroad failed to give a fair amount of warning, usually 30 seconds at least, before the freight train hit a flatbed trailer. The lawsuit is aimed to begin in April of 2014 and is expected to last anywhere from three to four weeks.
