Heavy storms in Wisconsin cause highway closures

Posted under Madison motor vehicle accidents attorneys

Overnight in several eastern Wisconsin counties, rain storms occurred and left heavily flooded streets in their wake.

Schools in Oshkosh, Fond du Lac and Calumet County were on delayed schedules this morning due to the flooding. This morning, both sides of U.S. 41 between Wisconsin 26 and County N has been shut down. Wisconsin 21 was previously closed during the storms, but has since reopened.

The National Weather Service also issued a flash flood warning for several eastern counties, and it was expected to run until 9 a.m. this morning. Severe storms are redeveloping in the state, and later on today they may sweep across the state.
