Bobby Brown was pulled over on Monday afternoon in a Los Angeles neighborhood after police officers noticed he was talking on his cellphone while driving. Since 2009 in California, driving and talking on a cellphone, that is not hands-free, has been illegal.
After police pulled him over, they had suspicions that he was under the influence of alcohol. They asked Brown to perform a field sobriety test, and claim that he failed. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Brown was taken to jail, and has since been released after posting an undisclosed amount of bail. He is currently waiting to return to the courthouse when his hearing date is set.
