“Booze and Belts” campaign has started in Wisconsin

Posted on Monday, December 12th, 2011 at 2:18 pm

Wisconsin police are focusing their efforts on preventing drunk driving accidents this holiday season. The “Booze and Belts” campaign will run from Friday, December 9 through Saturday, December 17 and focuses on wearing a seat belt and driving sober.

Last year in Wisconsin there were 3,500 injuries resulting from alcohol-related driving accidents and 220 of those injuries proved fatal. Drivers that did not fasten their seat belts in the crashes were more seriously injured.

More than 120,000 people were given citations for not wearing their seat belts in Wisconsin last year. Impaired drivers increase the dangers of driving and it is urged by all to designate a driver before consuming alcohol this holiday season.

If you  have been injured in a car accident due to a drunk driver, please contact the Madison motor vehicle accidents lawyers of Habush Habush & Rottier, S.C. by calling 800-242-2874 today.
