Two adults and two children were injured in a car accident outside of Madison Wednesday morning.
According to officials with the Dane County Sheriff's Department, the two-vehicle accident occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m. on Highway 19 between Wagon Lane and County Highway TT. Deputies say a Chevrolet Impala and a Chevrolet Lumina collided head-on, but it is unclear at this point which vehicle crossed the centerline.
Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Elise Schaffer said the impala was driven by a 25 year-old woman from Marshall and was traveling eastbound on Highway 19. Two children, ages 1 and 3, were also in the Impala. The Lumina was driven by a 63 year-old woman from Marshall, Schaffer said.
All four people were transported to University of Wisconsin Hospital for treatment.
The accident remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff's Department.
