Semi-truck loses tires, tires fly into another vehicle

Posted under Uncategorized

Tuesday morning, a freak accident occurred when two tires flew off of a semi-truck and into a Dodge Neon.  The Dodge, driven by 29-year old James Likeric, was traveling northbound on Highway 41 just outside of Allenton, Wisconsin when the tires came flying into the vehicle from the southbound lanes of the highway.

Likeric and his wife, 30-year old Karina Likeric, had to be rescued from their vehicle by paramedics using the jaws of life.  The two were rushed to Hartford Memorial Hospital and with non-life-threatening injuries.  Officials from the Wisconsin State Patrol are reported to be investigating the accident to determine what caused the tires to spontaneously fly off of the semi-truck.  If investigators find that the truck or tire manufacturer is responsible for an auto defect they may be held liable.
