Two people were injured in a Madison car accident Saturday.
According to officials with the Dane County Sheriff's Department, the driver of a 2002 Nissan Altima was traveling south on Williams Drive shortly after 1:00 p.m. Saturday and failed to negotiate a turn onto Wildflower Road. Police say the vehicle went airborne and then rolled approximately six times upon impact, before coming to rest against a line of trees.
The driver of the vehicle and lone passenger were transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment following the accident. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff's Office. The identities of the people involved have not been released.
