Chilton man injured in cattle truck accident

A Chilton man was injured in a cattle truck accident Thursday. According to police reports, the accident occurred on Highway 151. 
 
The man was driving his cattle truck when he had to abruptly turn it to avoid another vehicle. The abrupt move caused the truck to slide and tip over.
 
When medical officials arrived, the man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The truck was also carrying 13 cows, but only one had to be euthanized.

Wisconsin governor likely to sign texting while driving ban

A bill banning texting while driving in Wisconsin will likely become a law soon. The bill was passed in the Assembly in January, and an amended version was passed in the Senate April 15. 

The bill will likely be signed by Governor Jim Doyle in the next week. The law would impose a fine of $20 to $400 for any driver caught texting while driving. The ban is meant to crack down on distracted driving caused by cell phone use.

Two men missing after Castle Rock Lake boating accident

Two men are missing after a boating accident. According to police reports, the accident occurred on Castle Rock Lake Thursday. 
 
The two men were on a fishing boat, but police did not detail how they were thrown from the boat. Various search teams are still searching for the two men.

Wisconsin man killed while walking along highway

A Wisconsin man was killed in a car accident Monday. According to police reports, the accident occurred on State Highway 18 near Fennimore. 

The man was apparently walking east on the highway when he was hit by a vehicle. When medical officials arrived, the man was pronounced dead, while the driver was not injured. 

 

Father killed, child injured in head-on Wisconsin crash

One man died, and another child suffered serious injuries as a result of a car accident earlier this week. According to police reports, the accident occurred in Cuba City. 

The man was apparently driving his car down Highway 80 when his car crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head on. The accident caused the driver to be ejected from the car, while the child remained fastened in the vehicle. When medical officials arrived, both the father and son were taken to a nearby hospital, where the father later died. 

Dog shifts car into netural, causes fender bender with pickup

A dog apparently caused a Wisconsin fender bender earlier this week. According to police reports, the accident occurred near Middleton. 

The dog was apparently left alone in the car, and it somehow shifted the car's gear into neutral. The shift caused the car to roll out of its parking lot and hit a pickup truck on the other side of the parking lot. No one, however, was injured in the accident.

Fenimore couple injured in Grant County car accident

A Fenimore couple was injured in a two-car accident Tuesday. According to police reports, the accident occurred near Grant County. 

The couple was apparently driving east on U.S. 18 when their vehicle hit a pickup truck. When medical officials arrived, the man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
