Illinois Man Killed in Accident

On Monday morning, a two vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 90-94. Just before 9am, an eastbound driver crossed the median and struck a westbound semi truck near Wisconsin Dells.

The driver in the eastbound car was killed in the collision. He was identified as a resident of Elburn, Illinois. The driver of the semi was uninjured. No one else was injured.

OWI Driver Crashes Motorcycle

On Saturday night, a man was arrested in Fennimore Township on suspicion of OWI after crashing his motorcycle. The man was driving along First St and lost control while crossing Highway 18.

The man was taken to Grant Regional Health Center for treatment. Fortunately, no one besides the driver was injured in the crash. However, drunk drivers often put other people at risk simply by being on the road.

Woman Dies of Natural Causes in Crash

On Monday evening, a crash occurred in the town of Montrose. Around 5:45pm, a woman driving eastbound along Wisconsin 69/92 suffered a sudden medical event and crashed head on into a westbound car.

The woman in the first car was pronounced dead at the scene, but an autopsy showed that she was dead before the crash. The other driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Beer Truck Rolls Over

Early Friday morning, a beer truck rolled over on the Far East Side along Highway 151. The semi was carrying approximately 44,000 pounds of Bud Light Lime, much of which broke open and flowed into the road.

The accident occurred around 7:30am, and took several hours to clean up. Fortunately, the driver was uninjured and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Woman Critical after Motorcycle Crash

A motorcycle crash occurred Saturday night in the Town of York. A woman was southbound along Wisconsin 89 when she failed to negotiate a curve around 10pm. She went off the road and crashed.

The woman was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. She was air lifted to UW Hospital where she was listed as being in critical condition. No one else was injured in the crash.

2nd Teen Dies after Crash

On May 29, a stolen car crash occurred on the city's east side. On Sunday, a 14 year old girl involved in the crash died from her injuries, making her the second fatality of the crash so far.

The crash caused the death of another 14 year old girl, and injured 2 others. A 15 year old boy is awaiting trial and a 16 year old boy has been sent to Ethan Allen juvenile correction facility because of the crash.

Man Strangles Woman, Hits Car

A man has been arrested and charged after strangling a woman on the south side then rear ending a car downtown about an hour later and fleeing the scene on foot. He is charged with hit and run, domestic strangulation, and disorderly conduct.

The 22 year old strangling victim was injured to an unreported extent. The driver and passenger in the car that was rear ended were also injured and were taken to a local hospital.

Greyhound Crash Injures 17

On Friday afternoon, a Greyhound bus with about 80 passengers went off the road along Interstate 39-90-94 and went through a fence. State police investigated the cause of the crash.

17 of the passengers were injured in the crash and were transported to three area hospitals for treatment. None of them had life threatening injuries. The uninjured passengers waited at the scene for transportation.
