Wisconsin State Official Killed in Crash

Posted on Friday, December 19th, 2008 at 4:12 am

A tragic highway accident resulted in the death of a former state official – Mark Musolf. Musolf was Wisconsin's Revenue Secretary in 1979, moving into the position of deputy attorney general in 1987-1991.

Unfortunately, he was killed in a car accident on Highway 13 near Phillips at around 2:30 in the afternoon. Another car hit Musolf's car in a head-on collision, killing Musolf and sending his wife to the hospital with serious injuries.

Musolf will be greatly missed, as he has become an integral part of the community; opening up a local bed and breakfast and acting as a scout leader. There are services around Wisconsin being set up to commemorate Musolf's life and mourn his death.

UW-Madison Students Live Through Deadly Accident

Posted on Wednesday, December 10th, 2008 at 6:12 am

This week a bus loaded with University students from University of Wisconsin-Madison were on their way for a trip to Chicago to visit a German market. They crashed on Saturday morning on the Chicago expressway.
Police are still investigating the crash, but from eyewitness accounts, a small sedan entered onto the expressway, and drove across to lanes of traffic without seeing the bus. They cut the bus off, leading to the crash.

The person in the small car was killed and pronounced dead at the scene. Other persons involved suffered minor injuries. Some students were taken to a local hospital to check for serious injuries to the back or neck.

Collision Sends Two to ER

Posted on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at 5:12 am

In Kittery, Maine, three people were sent to the hospital after a two car collision. The crash occurred around 3:30 in the afternoon at the intersection between State Road and Walker Street. The two vehicles that collided were both pick-up trucks.

The owner of the white pick up and his passenger, both 38 years of age, did not require medical treatment. The other people in the accident were not as lucky.  The driver of the blue pick up and his wife were taken to the hospital for injuries related to the crash.
Investigators are still trying to find the cause of the accident, but so far no blame has been placed with either driver, and no reports of alcohol have been issued.
