A $6 million lawsuit has been filed against DaimerChrysler and Mertz Motor Company after a woman rolled her mother’s Jeep Liberty. Ashlee Hoffman was driving her mother’s Jeep Liberty when she swerved into another lane and started to roll.
Hoffman claims that she lost control of her car when the ball joint in the front suspension separated. She was ejected from the vehicle during the accident and was treated at St. Louis University Hospital.
Hoffman suffered two broken vertebrae, a broken right foot, three fractured disks in her back, lacerations to her liver and lungs, blood clots, air pockets in her right lung, and five broken ribs. Her mother did not receive the safety recall for the vehicle.
She is seeking damages for medical expenses, loss of earnings, pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life, mental anguish, and disfigurement.
