Middle School Library Worker Killed while Walking to Work

Defensive driving is something that we’re all taught in drivers’ education.  However, defensive pedestrian habits are also encouraged, but as the AP reported recently, even being careful will sometimes not prevent tragic consequences.

A woman who served as an educational assistant in the library at Cherokee Middle School died after being hit by a vehicle as she walked to work Monday, authorities said. Merrimac volunteer firefighter Andrew Gallus said emergency personnel found the 40-ton transport on its side across both lanes of traffic on Columbia County Highway U north of Lake Wisconsin.

“It must have turned all the way over,” Gallus said. “I’ve never seen anything
quite like it.”If you have lost someone in a car accident, you do have options.  Contact a Madison personal injury lawyer at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® today to schedule a free initial consultation.
