Peter M. Young
Peter M. Young is an associate at the law firm and practices in the Rhinelander, Wausau and Stevens Point offices. Mr. Young grew up in Rhinelander. He went on to earn degrees from the University of Wisconsin in Legal Studies and Political Science. He earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School.
While attending law school, Mr. Young worked as a law-clerk in the firm’s Milwaukee office and served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable N. Patrick Crooks of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Additionally, he was a member of the Marquette Law School Moot Court Society and was selected to compete in the Evan A. Evans Moot Court Competition, a national competition hosted by the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Mr. Young has tried jury cases throughout Wisconsin. His practice includes personal injury claims, automobile accidents, products liability claims, landowner liability claims, fall cases, dog bites and animal injury cases. He is admitted to practice before the State of Wisconsin, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. Mr. Young is also licensed to practice before the Tribal Courts of the Forest County Potawatomi and the Sokaogon Chippewa.
Mr. Young is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Oneida-Vilas-Forest County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Wisconsin Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Association for Justice, and is the Treasurer of the Oneida-Vilas-Forest County Bar Association. In 2012, Mr. Young was recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of the twenty-five Up and Coming Lawyers in Wisconsin. In 2011 and 2012, he was honored as a Rising Star in the Wisconsin Super Lawyers publication by Milwaukee Magazine. In 2013, he was honored as a Super Lawyer by these same publications.
Mr. Young lives in Northern Wisconsin with his wife and son. He is certified by the National Ski Patrol as an Outdoor Emergency Care Technician, and enjoys many outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, skiing, cycling and backpacking.
